Module 11 · Lesson 3
Booking & Front Desk
"Customers book themselves online — no account required — and the calendar, reminders, and check-in run the front desk for you."
Video narration script (ready to record)
Here's the booking system, from both sides of the counter.
The customer side: a booking page on the business's own website. Pick a service — with real options like sixty or ninety minutes at their real prices — pick a provider, pick a time from live availability, done. No account to create, no app to download. True guest booking, because every extra step loses a customer.
Now the staff side: a calendar that looks the way front desks think. Providers side by side, hours shaded, drag an appointment to reschedule it — with a live time readout while you drag — and one click opens the whole client: contact info, balance owed, card on file, notes, and visit history. Book a whole recurring series — every week for six weeks — in one shot.
Then the automation. Ahead of the visit the system texts the customer to confirm with one tap. Still unconfirmed? It nudges again closer in. Rescheduled? It tells them the new time. No-shows drop when confirmations are automatic.
Walk-ins check in on a kiosk that matches them to their file. And when the visit ends, payment happens right on the appointment — cash, card, or their rewards.
Booking, reminding, checking in, collecting — one loop, no gaps.

Talking points
- No-shows are the hookAsk what a missed hour costs them. Automatic confirm-then-nudge texts are the concrete fix, and they'll feel it in week one.
- "Guest booking" beats loginsBig booking platforms force customer accounts. Every account wall loses bookings; ours doesn't have one.
- The counter view sells itselfDemo dragging an appointment and opening the client panel. Owners who've used clunky calendars see the difference in ten seconds.
